Patience !

[EN] It seems my little parrots are not ready yet to spread their wings for XMas but be patient, the book will be published in January. By then, I will draw many other beautiful things and next month, I will start the 2nd book of John and César. :) Here is a sketch from my next illustration.

Feathers, smiles and news

Chouette !

[EN] It's time to tell you a few words about the project I'm working on for several days. This is the first in a series of bilingual albums for children, written by the author Muriel H. Essling (here is her blog), and published by Chouetteditions. The books will be translated in 3 languages, and as they are digital books, they will be animated ! I can't wait to see the final result ! :)

The first book should be available before XMas, and I'm proud to give you a little preview today.

Digital painting

[EN] I had drawed and painted a 1st version of this artwork in 2007, but I have never been satisfied by the result. I promised myself to redo it later, when I would be technically ready. The cat's proportions needeed to be corrected too. I wanted sweet colors but contrasted, so I added a final touch with a black layer with an overlay mode, and it truly changes everything, even the atmosphere.

Fairy Treehouse - preview
